There are many different types of services depending on the vehicle manufactures service schedules; these can sometimes be found in your service book.
Most vehicles should be serviced every year around the 10,000 miles mark.

There are two main services carried out (different manufactures may use different dialogue)

Brakes Checked (Not Removed & Cleaned)
Full Inspection Service (Main, Major, A)
Oil & Filter Replaced
Pollen/Cabin Filter Replaced
Air Filter Replaced
Fuel Filter Replaced (If Due)
Spark Plugs Replaced (If Due)
All Wheels Off, Brakes Removed & Cleaned.
All Vehicle Fluids Checked & Topped Up If Necessary
Tyre Pressures Checked & Adjusted
Tyre Condition & Check
All Lights & Washers/Wipers Checked.
Overall Body & Structure Inspection & Report
Suspension & Joints Checked

BMW CBS Service System:
Latest BMW’s have a new service system built into the vehicle. This is called the CBS system “Condition Based Service”. This shows individual lights instead of the old Oil/Full Service lights.
